The Quantitative Discription of Excess Adsorption Isoterms of Solution Components on Activated Carbons

Abstract

The opportunities of quantitative description of adsorption from binary non-electrolyte solutions on active carbons are investigated using Ono-Condo model. All types of excess isoterms taken from our and literature data are successfully approximated and energetic parameters are physically reliable. But calculated monolayer capacity differs from experimental one as more as higher is difference between molecule sizes what proves rising of disagreement of model and real adsorption systems.
