Colloidal-Chemical Aspects of Nanochemistry: from Faraday to Progozhin

Abstract

Various properties of ultradiserse colloidal systems and nanosystems are compared. Many theoretical concepts of colloid chemistry can be applied successfully to nanosystems Different scale effects in colloid chemistry and physicochemical mechanics are considered and the possibility of their up to nanodimensions is analyzed. A short review of the basal methods of ultradisperse particles and systems production is presented. Some examples of self-organized colloidal structures( micelles, Lisegang rings etc are considered.
