Peculiarities of substrate immobilization and the trypsin catalytic activity in reverse microemulsion

Abstract

The combined study of percolation transitions in water-in-oil microemulsions and the hydrolysis rate of Na-Benzoyl-l-arginine ethyl ester (BAEE) and Na-benzoyl-DL-arginine p-nitroanilide (BAPNA) by trypsin show that the efficiency of the immobilized in reverse micelles enzyme action in addition to other factors depends on substrate location and availability of its attacked bond.
