Electrocatalytic oxidation of 2,7-dichlorofluorescein by oxygen adsorbed on platinum when cycling potential

Abstract

The behavior of 2,7-dichlorfluorescein adsorbed on platinized platinum in alkaline medium at different potentials was studied. It was shown that all adsorbed substance exists at the surface as chemosorbed form. All adsorbed substance had oxidized at the lower potentials than that oxygen evolution. The novel method of electrocatalytical oxidation at cycling potential was suggested. It was shown that all dioxine-like substance destructed completely to inorganic products.
