Equilibrium Vaporization of Cadmium Selenide and Termodynamic Properties of CdSe Molecule in Gas Phase

Abstract

Vapor composition over crystalline CdSe has been determined by mass-spectrometry with the Knudsen effusion method in temperature range 866,5–1007,7 K. Partial pressures of vapor constituents and Kp0 (T) of the reaction CdSe(c) = Cd(g)+0.5Se2(g) have been determined. Upper limit of the partial pressure of CdSe have been estimated. Termochemical characteristics of CdSe were calculated to be DsH0(c,0)³338; DfH0(g,0)³196; D0£143 kJ×mole–1.
