States of 3-(2-Thiazolylazo)-2,6-diaminopyridine in Solvents with Associated Structure. The Hydrogen Bond Effect

Abstract

Aminoazoidic / iminohydrazonic forms of 3-(2-thiazolylazo)-2,6-diaminopyridine (TADAP) equilibrium is investigated in 15 solvents with the structure ordered either by hydrogen bond association or by free electron pairs interaction effects. TADAP tautomeric forms molar concentrations are calculated in different solvents as well as the forms equilibrium constants. The reagent molecules involving into the ordered liquid structure is found to be in associated solvents, the dimers formation being assumed to be formed in low dielectric permeability environments.
