Allyl Boranes: Principles of Reactivity and Application in Organic Synthesis

Abstract

All the known up to date reactions (ca. 40) of allylic organoboranes have been systematized and divided into six types. Three most important allylborane reactions have been considered: allylboration of organic compounds with multiple bonds, allylbor-acetylene condensation and reductive mono- and trans-a,a'-diallylation of aromatic nitrogen heterocycles. Application of the above reactions to organic synthesis, including the total synthesis of natural and related compounds, is discussed.
