Influence of oxidation-reduction treatment on the formation of cobalt nanoparticles in the Zr–Co–H system

Abstract

Dynamic behaviour of Zr–Co–H system during oxidation-reduction treatment was investigated. Method of sample magnetization control in situ was used. Oxidation of ZrCoHx after removal of H2 was found to result in higher magnetization value in comparison with starting ZrCoHx. Oxidation of ZrCoHx in air results in higher magnetization than oxidation in 5% O2 + Ar mixture.
