The possibility of preparation of crystal materials containing expended cylindrical pores

Abstract

By heating in the inactive media of CuSO4´5H2O crystals precipitated from water solution and contained 3D inclusions of the matrix solution it was demonstrated that it is possible to achieve evacuation of such inclusions by their outlet to the surface of the crystals. The way of mother solution release was detected by the optical and SEM microscopes and X-ray topography. According to suggested model the inclusions release occurs because such inclusions extend under the heating and push on the crystal matrix. It leads to the growth of the solubility of copper sulfate in mother media is increased. The cylindrical pore formed by the liner dislocation that exists close to inclusion and comes out on crystal surface. Mother solution ejects from the bulk of the crystal to its surface. Finally, the cylindrical pores are formed. As the result it is possible to obtain porous material that able reversible absorb visible amounts of inert liquids, alcohol for example, from environment.
