High throughput screening platform for new inhibitors of protein synthesis

Abstract

Screening for new antibiotics is needed both for fundamental science and medial applications. It is essential to reveal antimicrobial agent mechanism of action at an early stage of high throughput screening of antimicrobial activity. A system for robotic screening of potential antibiotics was created on the Department of Chemistry of Moscow State University. Thesystemiscapabletorevealcompounds that affect protein biosynthesis.
