ABSTRACT. The binary systems fluorofullerene-aliphatic hydrocarbon with normal structure were studied using X-ray powder diffraction analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The fluorofullerenes C60F46 and C60F48 are found to form molecular solvates with n-pentane, n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane, n-nonane, and n-decane. The most stable products were isolated from n-hexane and n-heptane solutions, somewhat less stable are solvates with n-pentane and n-decane. Crystallization of C60F48 from n-octane occurs in face-centered cubic system, whereas the starting material has the tetragonal structure. Two-stage decomposition was established for solvates of fluorofullerenes with n-pentane, n-nonane, and n-decane.
